Dr. Lachlan Deyong is the Principal and Founder of Law for Humans. Lachlan’s unique background spans legal academia, legal research, legal technology, and legal education. Lachlan is a methodology nerd, who bridges the gap between the legal system’s tradition-based methods and the scientific method’s empirical, data-driven methodology. Lachlan is an experienced hand with qualitative and quantitative data, and can lead all forms of data gathering, analysis, and knowledge mobilization.
Mariia Morello is an applied scientist living in Seattle who brings together a strong background in both language and technology. Mariia has hands-on experience using Natural Language Processing (NLP) in both research and applied projects. Her experience in research and applied data science projects allows her to bridge theory and practice to create understandings—and tools—that are greater than the sum of their parts.
